*Babies should sleep on a firm, flat mattress in a crib, bassinet, or travel crib.
*The appropriate sleep space should just contain a properly fitting fitted sheet.
*The sleep surface should not have any blankets, pillows, stuffed animals or toys.
*The sleep space should not be right next to a window, curtains, cords, lamps, etc.
*The baby should sleep in his/her own space.
*Although rather popular, the use of positioners is considered unsafe.
