*It's best to avoid large meals right before bedtime. Try to make sure your child has at least 1 hour to digest his or her dinner before going to sleep. Children and adults alike need time to properly digest food. A large meal right before bed can potentially cause indigestion and/or worsen acid reflux, if present.
*It is preferable for your child to eat his or her largest meal at lunchtime and have a slightly smaller meal at dinnertime.
*A small snack about 30 minutes before nap time can be a good idea if you're concerned that your child may wake early due to hunger. Ideally, the snake should be healthy (no caffeine, nothing sugary) and not too large.
