* If your child is still napping, make sure he/she is napping well on the days before the time change. A well rested child is more likely to make a smoother transition than an overtired one.
* Move your clocks forward one hour on Saturday night once your little one is asleep
*Your little one's schedule (naps & bedtime) will likely shift one hour later. If you're happy about the change, great! I just suggest having your little one up by 7:30am at the latest so that his/her schedule does not shift too late.
* If you'd like your child to get back to his/her usual schedule, wake your little one at his/her normal wakeup time according to the new clock. So, if your child normally wakes at 6:30am, then wake him/her at 6:30am according to the new time.
* Try your best to keep naps, meals and activities at the normal times you always do (according to the new clock). Don't let your little one nap longer than usual.
* For younger babies or children who need a more gradual transition, you might want to consider starting several days in advance and begin putting your child to bed 15 to 30 minutes earlier, moving the time back every few days until you reach a full hour.
